Azusa Mobile Home Tenants ‘Rising Up’

The state of California is experiencing a revolution that is taking place inside the home--mobile home, that is. Mobile home owners are banding together and rising up against unfair gouging by the owners of their parks.

I am fortunate enough to be invited to attend Mobile Home Owners Assn. meetings at some of the mobile home parks in Azusa. These mobile home owners are giving their time toward a common goal: fairness and survival.

I commend them for their fortitude. They not only address the City Council about their problems, but they also recognize the problems that are theirs and accept responsibility for them.

It may take some time for our city government to help them with their problem, but I know they won’t give up. Mobile home owners are banding together in parks all over California. Their collective voice is getting attention. It’s time to make that voice stronger and louder.

It’s my pleasure as well as an honor to be working with them, and to them I say, “Keep on working together and communicating. You are united. You are organized. Know your strength. There’s no ignoring you now!”
