Lowery Leads Aztecs Early

Sophomore quarterback David Lowery led San Diego State to a 30-0 lead over Hawaii with 3:09 left in the first half in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday night.

As this edition of The Times went to press, Lowery had completed seven of his first nine passes for 130 yards. Freshman Marshall Faulk scored on runs of nine, 12 and five yards, and T.C. Wright added an eight-yard score. Andy Trakas had a 37-yard field goal.
