Damage Suit Against Ford Motor Dismissed: A federal appeals court cited technical reasons in dismissing a damage suit against Ford Motor Co. that contended that many of its vehicles made in the late 1970s slipped unexpectedly from park into reverse. The appeal listed as its plaintiff John F. Walsh, who settled his own lawsuit against Ford and gave up all claims against the company in 1987, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington said. Because no other plaintiff was listed on the appeal, it may not be reviewed by the court, the three-judge panel said.
