Ropak Laboratories: The Irvine maker of product safety tests reported a net loss of $727,328, or 14 cents per share, for the second fiscal quarter, down from net income of $25,660, or 1 cent per share, for the like period in 1990. Revenue for the quarter ended Aug. 31 declined 4%, to $293,373 from $305,258. For the first half, the company incurred a net loss of $1.6 million, or 43 cents per share, on revenue of $574,242. A year earlier, net income totaled $39,345, or 2 cents per share, on revenue of $582,068.
