Printronix Inc: The Irvine computer printer manufacturer reported a second-quarter loss of $2.5 million, or 83 cents per share, compared to earnings of $201,000, or 5 cents a share, a year earlier. Sales for the quarter ended Sept 27 fell to $21.5 million from $27.9 million a year earlier. For the six month-period, the company reported a loss of $5.5 million, or $1.81 per share. It had net income of $1.2 million, or 32 cents per share, for the year-earlier period. Sales declined 25% to $43.4 million from $57.6 million.
