4 Robbers Sought in 2 Separate Killings

Two men were fatally shot early Friday within a four-block area near Koreatown, and police said the same four robbers were suspected of both slayings.

The body of Jose Giron, 43, was discovered about 7 a.m. by a gardener in a driveway in the 4000 block of Leeward Ave. “He had sustained a small caliber gunshot wound to the upper torso,” Detective Dan Andrews said.

At about 3:50 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot to death after three men and a woman approached him and his girlfriend while they were parked in a car in the 700 block of South Western Avenue. Andrews said two of the men demanded money, and when the victim indicated that he did not have any, the men shot him in the upper torso and casually walked away.
