William Dennis Blaylock; Magazine Writer and Editor
William Dennis Blaylock, 42, former editor of California Business and San Francisco bureau chief of Time magazine. He earned his bachelor’s degree at UCLA, master’s at Johns Hopkins University, and Ph.D. at the London School of Economics. After beginning his career on the Sacramento Bee, Blaylock worked for Time in Los Angeles, Washington, London and Paris. He served as editor of California Business from 1984 to 1986, when he switched to handling communications for the California School Boards. On Tuesday in Hidden Hills of pneumonia.
