Irvine 28, Foothill 14--Scott Seal rushed for 160 yards and scored two touchdowns for Irvine at Northrop Field.

Seal and Irvine quarterback Jason Minici, who completed 13 of 22 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns, helped the Vaqueros (4-1) break from a halftime tie for the victory.

Irvine scored on its first possession of the second half as Minici hit Seal with a nine-yard touchdown pass with 8:20 left in the third quarter for a 13-7 lead. Dave Bilek’s point after attempt hit the upright.

Minici sealed the victory when he hit split end Jon Peck with a 40-yard touchdown pass with 49 seconds left in the quarter. Minici passed to junior Aron Garcia for the two points to make it 21-7.

Seal, who accounted for 182 yards total offense scored Irvine’s final touchdown on a two-yard run with 8:37 left.

Foothill is 1-4.
