Psychiatric Hospital
We certainly appreciated the attention that The Times recently brought to the plight of San Diego’s psychiatric hospital, but I feel that some of the points you stressed were of such a negative nature that perhaps it wasn’t the type of attention that was needed. I fear that it may have made the public more leery of maintaining the facility. I feel that it would have been much better to focus on the success stories of those who have benefitted from a “short stay” at the facility and have gone on to lead productive, stable lives in the community.
