OXNARD : Man, 18, Attending Party Shot in Hand

An 18-year-old man was shot in the hand while attending a party in Oxnard, police said Saturday.
Peter Martinez was wounded at 12:40 a.m. Saturday during what appears to be a gang-related, drive-by shooting in the 2400 block of Beaufort Drive, Oxnard Police Lt. Robert Kelley said.
Martinez was treated at St. John’s Regional Medical Center and later released, a nursing supervisor said.
Martinez was in the street when he was shot, Kelley said. The shot was fired from a car--a red Suzuki Samurai--that was driven north on Beaufort Drive after the shooting, Kelley said.
