TOKYO — Kyoko Imakiire, 26, set out alone in a 35-foot yacht from Kagoshima, Japan, on Saturday on a nonstop cruise round the world.
She is the first Japanese woman to attempt the 30,000-mile voyage. She sailed alone across the Pacific in 1988.
