Robert Gates Hearings
It is my earnest hope that a large number of American citizens have followed the nomination hearings of Robert Gates for CIA director in Washington; either by TV (C-Span) or via other news media.
Not only should the average American get a clearer view and understanding of how our intelligence community works, but the hearings should have also dispelled some of the misinformation and incorrect ideas many of us had as to what the CIA does for this country. Whether Gates is confirmed or not, we all should be able to enjoy and appreciate one of the best minds we are ever likely to be in contact with.
