COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : UCLA : Injuries a Problem for Oregon State
Oregon State, UCLA’s opponent Saturday night in Corvallis, Ore., is one of the youngest teams in the country. It can’t afford many injuries.
The Beavers lost three free safeties last week because of injuries. Two more players will be unavailable for the UCLA game. Fletcher Keister, a starting left guard, has mononucleosis, and J.J. Young, a starting halfback, won’t play because of the recent death of his father.
There are 16 freshmen, including seven true freshmen, and 10 sophomores on Oregon State’s revised two-deep roster.
