Development Gets Final Approval
The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council on Tuesday gave final approval to the construction of a 63-home development on a 59-acre parcel at the southwest corner of Crest and Highridge roads.
The council approved Kajima Development Corp.’s proposal for 28 one-story, 24 two-story and 11 split-level homes.
As a condition of approval, Kajima will pay up to $1 million for construction of an off-site debris basin if it is determined that the basin is needed to offset drainage problems in the area. The basin will be designed to meet county flood control standards, and a assessment district will be established for nearby property owners benefiting from the improvement.
