The Montebello Unified School District board has voted unanimously to begin dismissal proceedings against a teacher accused of threatening his students with a stun gun and knife.
The alleged incidents involving physics teacher Jerry Woodrome, 52, and his students took place between July 15 and Aug. 2 during ninth-grade classes at Montebello High School.
The vote came late Thursday after the district attorney filed five misdemeanor counts against Woodrome--three for assault with a stun gun, one for threatening a student with a knife, and one for possessing a stun gun on campus.
