Start Time for BYU Game Changed
The Western Athletic Conference football game between San Diego State and Brigham Young Nov. 16 has been moved back from its 6 p.m. start to 7:35 p.m. to accommodate ESPN, SDSU Athletic Director Fred Miller announced Monday.
This is the third Aztecs game televised on a network this season. ESPN featured SDSU and UCLA Sept. 26 and the Aztecs are scheduled to appear regionally on ABC this week at Utah.
MEN’S SOCCER
Four UC San Diego players scored in a 4-0 shutout against Biola in a nonconference game at UCSD (11-4). Chris Hanson, with an unassisted goal, Ken Fujii, Ron Carios and Jarrett Stevensen contributed in the Triton’s balanced offense. Biola (5-7-2) was outshot, 7-3.
MARATHON
The San Diego Marathon is seeking up to 3,000 volunteers to help stage the Dec. 6 event, which includes a half-marathon, a four-mile walk, a jazzercise marathon and a three-day health & fitness expo and a pre-race carbohydrates dinner. Race coordinators expects these activities to draw approximately 7,000 participants. All the races and the expo will begin and end at Plaza Camino Real in Carlsbad, also the expo site.
