GM Executives May Not Get Bonuses: In another sign of the car industry slump, Chairman Robert Stempel said General Motors probably will not award managers bonuses this year for top performance. GM, the nation’s largest auto maker, did not pay bonuses last year except to a few managers running profitable operations outside the United States. General Motors this week reported a third-quarter loss of $1.06 billion. Last spring it cut its quarterly dividend to 40 cents.
