A ‘Moderate’ Republican

Now I know what a “moderate” Republican is--someone who will say anything to get votes, but when the votes are counted, someone who will be as far right as the “Neanderthals.”
Whew, I was worried that Pete Wilson was going to turn out to be a reasonable person. I was even lulled into thinking that it might be possible to support a Republican. Not to worry. His true colors have come out. The governor is nothing more than a shill for business and for the prejudiced among us.
Thanks, Pete. I can still say that I haven’t met a California Republican yet that I could support.
