Hearing Set on Hillside Law
A public hearing on Sierra Madre’s proposed hillside management ordinance and draft environmental impact report is scheduled for Nov. 5.
The city’s Hillside Task Force has recommended a minor boundary line change before the City Council adopts the ordinance.
An existing moratorium on hillside development was ruled invalid by a state Court of Appeal on Oct. 16. City Administrator Jim McRea said the city will consider adopting the proposed ordinance on an urgency basis, meaning it would take effect immediately.
The hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
