Halloween Can Be Found ‘Under The Umbrella Tree’ On Disney Channel Special

Halloween is arguably the best holiday for kids of the year, and this week it’s being celebrated in high fashion, with specials and spooky-themed versions of regular series. For little trick-or-treaters, Halloween Under the Umbrella Tree commemorates the holiday and teaches a lesson about friendship as well. In the special episode of the Disney Channel’s puppet series for young children, Iggy the Iguana gets hurt and has to spend Halloween at the veterinarian’s office. But his faithful pals bring him a special treat: They spend the evening with him and the other injured creatures there--and everyone enjoys the party.

“Halloween Under the Umbrella Tree,” Thursday 9-9:30 a.m. and 3:30-4 p.m. Disney Channel. “Under the Umbrella Tree,” weekdays 9-9:30 a.m. and 3:30-4 p.m.; Saturdays 6:30-7 a.m. and Sundays 7-7:30 a.m. Disney Channel. For 2- to 6-year-olds.

If you only watch one seasonal show this week, make it It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (Wednesday 8:30-9 p.m. CBS), the mother of all animated Halloween specials. For all ages.

In a Halloween special of Darkwing Duck (Thursday 4:30 p.m. KCAL)--Darkwing Duck battles the nightmarish ruler of the dream world, Nodoff, and his unwitting pawn, Morgana Macawber. For 2- to 10-year-olds.

The Nick Hit List (Fridays 6:30-7 p.m. and Saturdays 1:30-2 p.m. Nickelodeon) is a new series in which kid reporters find out what other kids are talking about concerning music, hairstyles, books, slang, etc. For 7- to 13-year-olds.

Streetwise (Friday 11 p.m.-12:30 a.m.KCET) examines the plight of homeless children--estimated to make up a fifth of the homeless population in the United States--by letting them speak about life in their own words. For parents.
