Helping Out: Comedian Bill Cosby is helping out New Jersey’s Crossroads Theatre Company, a black-oriented performance group that struggled to get the money to build its new $3-million theater in New Brunswick. “They showed that fighting is important,” said Cosby, who will do a total of five benefit performances for the company. Six years ago, Crossroads operated out of a dilapidated theater and was more than $100,000 in debt. It now has an annual budget of $2.5 million.
