HUNTINGTON BEACH : Inaugural Schools Benefit Rescheduled
The Ocean View Education Foundation’s inaugural fund-raising event, which had been scheduled Saturday, has been postponed.
The foundation’s event has been rescheduled to Nov. 10. The gathering, at which parents and other residents may purchase charter memberships to support the foundation, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. in the board room of the Ocean View School District’s main offices at 17200 Pinehurst Lane.
The foundation was established earlier this year to raise money to augment school funding to support a variety of educational programs.
The event was delayed because California Angels pitcher Bert Blyleven, the foundation’s honorary chairman, was unable to attend. He will be present at the Nov. 10 gathering to sign a limited number of charter membership certificates on a first-come, first-served basis.
