Former heavyweight champion James (Bonecrusher) Smith will fight Levi Billups in a scheduled 10-round bout at the Forum Monday night.

Smith (30-8, 24 knockouts) is ranked No. 12 by the World Boxing Council and the World Boxing Assn. He has won 10 consecutive bouts since losing to Razor Ruddock in July 1989 and is one of only three fighters to go 12 rounds with Mike Tyson.

Smith, 38, is hopeful of getting a January bout against Tim Witherspoon.

“George Foreman is a big inspiration,” he said. “People are not questioning age anymore. They are not even questioning being out of shape anymore.”
