Man, 52, Killed When Car Hits Parked Truck
A 52-year-old Van Nuys man died when he drove into a parked truck early Friday, Los Angeles police said.
The victim’s identity was being withheld until relatives could be notified. He was pronounced dead at the scene, in the 13900 block of Oxnard Street near Ranchito Avenue in Van Nuys, Officer Ed Pedneau said.
Pedneau said the circumstances of the 1:45 a.m. accident remained in question because there were no witnesses. Police were called by a resident who heard the crash. The car hit the truck so hard that the impact slammed the truck and the three cars parked in front of it together, Pedneau said.
