The Region : Grant for WINGS Program

The San Gabriel Valley YWCA-WINGS program recently received a $5,000 grant from Kaiser-Permanente to commemorate the opening of Kaiser’s West Covina Mental Health Center.
WINGS is a domestic violence outreach and education program, offering shelter, food, crisis intervention and legal assistance to women and children in need.
The grant will be used for training professionals to deal with domestic violence, arranging speaking engagements, publishing bilingual materials and funding outreach programs in the eastern San Gabriel Valley.
