Bad Don’t, Good Can’t
I read with interest the Oct. 16 story about the concealed weapons lawsuit and the response Oct. 27 by Ron Bjornberg.
A concealed weapons permit is a joke. The bad guys don’t apply for one. The good guys can’t get one. Yet sleazy characters or celebrities can get them.
It disturbs me that despite more than 20 years as a reserve sheriff’s deputy, with full-time status and training--now retired--the department won’t issue me one either. After being recognized by ex-felons while off-duty on three occasions, how safe do you think I feel?
Although I am a supporter of good gun control, I hope Douglas Hickman wins his case.
