Girl’s Recovery

Share

In response to “Recovery by Wounded Girl ‘a Miracle,’ ” Oct. 23:

I wish to point out that the “miracle” was due to the quality of medical care provided by the staff at Martin Luther King Hospital, and specific accolades should be given to them for their role in rendering the highest quality of medical care, as attested to by Juri Kang’s recovery from life-threatening wounds.

In the past, King Hospital has come under heavy adverse publicity in the press, thereby challenging its qualifications and quality of care. I wish to point out that the dedication and professional abilities of the staff at King Hospital have never been in question. The staff stands ready to serve under the most adverse circumstances, and, in my opinion, do a most exemplary job for which they deserve special accolades. The type of “miraculous recovery” of the girl mentioned in the article is but a microcosm of such recoveries that occur on a daily basis at King Hospital.
