TEST NOW: AIDS cases reported to Orange County authorities have topped 2,000 for the first time, according to county health officials. . . . This includes 1,304 who have died and 700 under care. The cases have come mostly from homosexual contact, but county health spokesman Dr. George Gellert says Magic Johnson’s announcement should spur more testing by others. “If you are not in a monogamous relationship, or you have a high-risk lifestyle, you should be tested now,” he says.
