FULLERTON : Council OKs New City Limits Signs

Share

The City Council has approved $10,000 in its 1991-92 budget to pay for replacing 30 signs that mark the city’s boundaries.

Council members voted unanimously last week to include the signs in the budget. They said the new signs would include the city seal and possibly the words culture, commerce and community.

Members of the redevelopment design review board said the new signs will be more attractive than the green and white ones now in use.

Council members also voted to remove signs at city borders that warn motorists about Fullerton’s ban on fireworks. City officials say that bans on fireworks have become common enough in Orange County that the signs are no longer needed.
