Brent Sutter gave Belfour the lead by scoring 67 seconds into the game and Chicago moved back into first place in the Norris Division, one point ahead of St. Louis.

Chicago defenseman Steve Konroyd scored on a 40-foot slapshot at 12:51 of the second period and Mike Stapleton added the Blackhawks’ final goal with 5:37 left.
