Postal Proposal Decried
It really makes me mad that we just had our last postal rate hike in February, and now this 1-cent proposal, although it was not approved, is the second one (sought this year). Do they think money grows on trees or what?
The U.S. Postal Service claims it lost $800 million, but why don’t they tighten their belts like any private industry? I can’t remember the last time they cut their salaries, bonuses and benefits.
We do not need any more rate hikes. What we need is for Congress to open the door for a free enterprise in the Postal Service industry so that the U.S. Postal Service would not be the only one that monopolizes the business.
