CAMARILLO : Decomposed Body Found in Ravine
A Caltrans worker found the body of an unidentified Latino in his 40s Tuesday afternoon in a ravine near California 118 north of Camarillo, Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies said.
Sheriff’s deputies had to use a winch to lift the body from a shallow stream to the top of the ravine near Mesa School Road, authorities said.
In a preliminary examination of the decomposed body, a coroner’s investigator could not determine whether the man had been a victim of foul play.
An autopsy will be conducted today to determine the cause of death, authorities said.
