South Gate : City Council Meetings to Be on Tuesdays Starting Jan. 14
South Gate is shifting its regular City Council meetings from Mondays to Tuesdays in order to give council members more time to review agenda materials and to avoid conflicts with Monday observances of state and federal holidays. An ordinance changing the day was introduced by the council Tuesday and is expected to be given final approval on Nov. 25.
The measure, which takes effect 30 days after adoption, would set council meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. The first meeting under the new arrangement would be at 7 p.m. Jan. 14.
