Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a Clairemont man discovered stabbed to death in his home.
Marion Justin Newkirk, 70, was found about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday dressed in pajamas and lying next to his bed, San Diego Police Lt. Paul Ybarrondo said. Newkirk, who lived on Mt. Aguilar Avenue, had several stab wounds in his back.
