Sierra Madre : Hearing on Trash Plan
A public hearing on the city’s trash reduction and recycling plan is scheduled for the City Council’s meeting Dec. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall.
All California cities must adopt plans before the end of this year to reduce the volume of trash they generate by 25% in 1995 and 50% by the year 2000.
A copy of Sierra Madre’s plan, prepared by Charles Abbott Associates of Rancho Palos Verdes, is available for review at City Hall, 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. It was prepared in agreement with 11 other San Gabriel Valley cities.
