NHL ROUNDUP : Chicago Moves Into First as Belfour Stops Blues, 5-1

Ed Belfour stopped 21 shots and won for the fourth time since ending his holdout as the Chicago Blackhawks beat the St. Louis Blues, 5-1, at Chicago Sunday night and took over first place from idle Detroit in the Norris Division by a point.
Jeremy Roenick scored on a power play and had an assist as the Blackhawks extended their unbeaten string to four games (3-0-1).
Belfour’s toughest moments came in the first period on St. Louis’ only power play, when he stopped four shots, two by Jeff Brown.
Winnipeg 2, Philadelphia 1--Goaltender Bob Essensa turned away 31 shots in the Jets’ victory at Philadelphia.
Fredrik Olausson scored the decisive goal in the second period on a drive from the point that deflected off Flyer Mike Ricci’s stick.
Philadelphia defenseman Steve Duchesne played in his 400th NHL game.
Hartford 3, Toronto 1--Murray Craven scored twice at Toronto as the Whalers extended the Maple Leafs’ winless streak to six games.
