ANAHEIM : Council Peers Elect Daly Mayor Pro Tem
Councilman Tom Daly was unanimously selected by his colleagues to be mayor pro tem for the coming year.
Daly replaces Councilman William D. Ehrle in the largely ceremonial position.
Daly will conduct council meetings in Mayor Fred Hunter’s absence and would replace him if he left office
Under Anaheim’s City Charter, the mayor has few powers beyond those of his council colleagues and has no veto.
