HIGH-STEPPING TIME: UCI dance professor Donald McKayle, a five-time Tony nominee for his Broadway choreography, will be honored on Dec. 19 in New York by the internationally renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. The Ailey modern dance troupe will perform an all-McKayle program. The UCI professor, who lives in Laguna Beach, will share the stage. . . . “We thought it was high time” for such a tribute, says Michael Kaiser, executive director of the Ailey troupe.
