8 Residents Receive Awards From Mt. SAC

Mt. San Antonio College and the Mt. SAC Foundation have given eight Friends of the College Awards to community members. They are:

* Larry Redinger of Diamond Bar, a member of the board of trustees for the Walnut Valley Unified School District, outstanding educator.

* Virginia Bohr of Walnut, a documentation and training specialist for the college’s computer services department, outstanding staff member.

* Andrew Mulhall of Glendora, 1962 graduate and principal of La Fetra School in Glendora, outstanding alumnus.

* Jim Manson of Ontario, Terminal Radar Approach Control Manager at Ontario Airport, outstanding citizen.

* Joe Zagorski of Alta Loma, vice president of instruction-student services at the college, outstanding manager.

* James Findley of Claremont, who taught history and political science from 1959 to 1986, faculty emeritus.

* Frances Maschio of La Puente, a former Mt. SAC Foundation Board president and former Mt. SAC Board of Trustees member, special recognition.

* Deeny Morales of Chino, recently retired as executive secretary to the college president and board of trustees, Mt. SAC President’s Award. Morales, who began at Mt. SAC in 1947, worked for all of the college’s six presidents and served Mt. SAC longer than any other employee.
