Drexler’s 48 Pace Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. —
Clyde Drexler scored 48 points, matching the second-highest total of his career, as the Portland Trail Blazers beat San Antonio, 116-111, Sunday night.
Drexler, who fell two points short of his career high, had 29 at halftime and scored five during a 19-second span in the final quarter.
Drexler made 17 of 28 field goals and 11 of 13 free throws in posting the highest point total in the NBA this season. He was the only Portland player to shoot better than 50%.
