Lewis Powers Celtics Past Bullets, 121-108
Reggie Lewis scored 37 points, and the Boston Celtics took advantage of Washington’s sloppy first-half ballhandling to beat the Bullets, 121-108, Monday night.
Lewis, who was 17 for 24 from the field, also had four of Boston’s nine steals in the first half as the Celtics took advantage of 11 turnovers to take a 65-54 lead.
The Bullets’ Michael Adams, who began the game as the second-leading scorer in the NBA with a 28.1-point average, suffered a dislocated middle finger on his left hand late in the first half.
