Share

Former convict Richard Coss will warn teen-agers to avoid drugs and crime in a talk scheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday at First Southern Baptist Church, 3041 N. Peck Road.

The church’s David Felts said Coss’ parents were alcoholic, and Coss began shoplifting at age 9. He became a drug addict, and had 28 convictions for robbery, assault and battery and auto theft by age 25. He spent nine years in prison.

He was pardoned in 1975 by President Gerald Ford and now is an ordained minister who lectures in prisons and schools.
