Share

Low- and moderate-income homeowners and renters in the cities of Los Angeles and West Hollywood can qualify for free home-security devices through “Home Secure,” a program run by the nonprofit Jewish Family Service.

Anyone who meets the program’s requirements is eligible for free locks, door peepholes, childproof drawers, safety grab-bars and other items. Installation is also free.

In order to qualify, a single person can’t earn more than $24,350 a year.

The income limits are $27,850 for a couple or $31,300 for a family of three.

Higher limits apply to larger families.

For more information, call the Home Secure program at (213) 937-5855 or (818) 762-5892.
