A Garden Grove committee, formed to recommend changes on spending to balance the city budget, is soliciting suggestions from residents.

The Citizens Committee on Government Efficiency is charged with making recommendations to the City Council. The city is facing an especially tough budget year with declining sales-tax revenues and rising costs.

Residents are being encouraged to submit ideas to the committee on how to balance the city budget. The committee was appointed Nov. 5.
