GARDEN GROVE : Police to Conduct Sobriety Checks
Garden Grove police officers will conduct two sobriety checkpoints during the holiday season.
The first checkpoint will be Saturday, coinciding with National Drunk and Drugged Driving Week, Dec. 7 through 14. The second will be Dec. 28, coinciding with the city’s busiest time of year for drunk-driving violations.
In addition, the Police Department will conduct special nightly motorcycle patrols all month that will concentrate on arresting drug- or alcohol-impaired drivers.
Sgt. Jack Ray of the department’s traffic division said the department places extra emphasis on educating the public during the holidays to keep impaired drivers off the road.
