Jerry Walker scored four of his 15 points during an 8-0 second-half run that helped No. 12 Seton Hall hold off Rutgers, 77-72, at Piscataway, N.J., Wednesday night.

It was the first loss in four games for the Scarlet Knights, who had consecutive victories over then-No. 24 Nevada Las Vegas and Princeton. But the Pirates proved to be too much for them.

Gordon Winchester added 18 points for Seton Hall (4-1), and John Leahy and Danny Hurley each had personal bests with 13 points apiece.
