KNBC Glitch: NBC’s “Today” show cut away as usual at 8:25 a.m. Monday for a local news break, but there was none on KNBC-TV Channel 4. Viewers calling to ask what happened learned that the station was the victim of electronic gremlins. In an age of ever-increasing dependence upon technology, an essential piece of equipment called a “sync generator” ceased generating. The equipment was back in working order by mid-morning.
