THEY PASSED: Nearly 1,000 who passed the July bar exam were sworn in as new lawyers Monday, 188 of them in Anaheim. Court of Appeal Justice Edward J. Wallin told that group: “Congratulations. You’ve made your parents proud, and you’ve amazed your in-laws. And now you all no doubt agree the bar exam should be made tougher.” . . . Almost 55% passed the state bar exam in July, third-highest success rate in a decade.
