COUNTYWIDE : Weather to Be Cool Through Christmas

Share

Light rains are expected to sprinkle Ventura County today, bringing clouds and cool weather that will last through the Christmas holiday, a weather forecaster said Saturday.

The rain is part of a storm front moving into the county, National Weather Service meteorologist Terry Schaeffer said. However, the showers are not expected to do much to end the drought, he said. The rain will keep temperatures from falling to freezing levels. Highs today are expected to be in the middle to upper 60s.

Temperatures fell to the upper 20s in Ojai early Saturday morning. However, farmers around the county were able to use wind machines to prevent crop damage, Schaeffer said.
