In a virtual rerun of the final division of the New York Stallion Stakes Series, Phantom Finn, Jay Gee and Queen of Triumph finished 1-2-3 in the Bertram F. Bongard Stakes at Aqueduct. Joseph Birnbaum’s Phantom Finn came from just off the pace to carry jockey Eddie Maple to a two-length victory in the $121,600 Bongard, earning $72,960 with his third victory in 11 starts this year.
